The Basel Student Advisory Service is an information and counseling center that supports you in choosing and planning your academic and career path.

In addition to information on study programs in Switzerland, we provide high school graduates and prospective students from Basel-Stadt with independent counseling and guidance in making their personal study choices.

We provide students with information and counseling on topics such as choosing a master’s program, academic planning, changing majors, academic challenges (e.g., study and work techniques, time management, decision-making conflicts), career entry, and continuing education. We also offer psychological counseling to students and PhDs at the University of Basel who are facing personal and/or mental health challenges.
